“Are you working “in the field,” constantly documenting human rights violations and solving community problems, but critically lacking the resources, time, and expertise to elevate these issues to a higher level and amplify your impact?
We know that in times of war, resources are depleted while challenges only grow. That is why Daily Humanity is launching the 5-month practical program Civic Signals Lab: Technologies for Civic Impact. We will help transform your daily observations into a powerful tool for change, automate routine tasks, and find allies at the national and global levels.
Civic Signals Lab is part of the large-scale international transformational program CIVICUS Digital Democracy Initiative (DDI), implemented in partnership with the Metamorphosis Foundation, TechSoup, and the Digital Activism Program.
What will you gain from participating?
- Automation, secure AI monitoring, and practical technology skills: We will teach you how to use an automated monitoring and research platform, alongside AI tools for working with open data, sentiment analysis, rapid data visualization, and protection against online attacks.
- Synergy and experience exchange: We will connect you with a cohort of professional, strong organizations capable of moving mountains together. You will exchange insights and jointly strengthen socially important initiatives.
- Constructive advocacy: We will teach you to use data not just for criticism, but to promote successful solutions in your own and other communities.
- International opportunities and networking: You will have the opportunity to participate in the program’s international events, exchanging experiences with activists and human rights defenders from around the world.
- Technological support: Participants will receive exclusive access to modern digital solutions and software from TechSoup, significantly enhancing your team’s capacity.
Who are we looking for?
- Local NGOs and grassroots initiatives focused on human rights, accountability, and transparency (especially in frontline and de-occupied communities).
- Volunteer networks and informal civic groups.
- Military journalists, documentarians, and humanitarian missions.
- We particularly encourage applications from initiatives led by women, youth, LGBTQI+ representatives, as well as IDPs.
How will it work?
- Duration: the program will run for 5 months (May – October 2026).
- Application deadline: May 30, 2026.
“Do not face these challenges alone. We invite you to become part of a powerful network, utilize the latest technologies, and elevate the protection of your communities’ rights to a new level alongside Daily Humanity.”
