Drones over airports and energy sites. Cut undersea cables. GPS jamming over the Baltic. Infrastructure operators, industry teams and aid workers across Europe now face risks that, until recently, belonged to faraway conflict zones.
Daily Humanity has trained more than 4,000 professionals to work safely in Ukraine, where these threats are daily reality. We have brought that experience into a three-day hostile environment awareness training, with a dedicated module on drone threats: how to recognise them, how to protect people and sites, and how to act when it happens.
To help Europe prepare, Daily Humanity Foundation (Denmark) is sponsoring 10 places for staff of organisations based in the Baltics, the Nordics, Poland, Germany, France and Portugal who work in:
- critical infrastructure: energy, telecoms, transport, ports, logistics, health, water and finance
- the defence and security industry
- companies with staff in high-risk locations: construction, engineering, extractives, insurance, consulting
- humanitarian and civil society organisations
What you get: three days of scenario-based training in Portugal, led by instructors with frontline experience in Ukraine. Course value: €3200, fully sponsored.
What you pay: €369 for meals and insurance. Accommodation and travel are not covered. You arrange your accommodation and logistics by yourself.
How to apply: complete the 10-minute form by Friday 30 October, 23:59 CET. We review applications and make decisions on a rolling basis, so early applications have an advantage. Final decisions by 3 November. Applicants must be employed by or contracted to an organisation.
