Expert delivery of the material. I liked that we analysed situations from the participants' own experience.
Thank you to the organisers and the speaker. High quality, professional, useful, well structured — that is what I liked. The group work was valuable. There is still a lot to learn, and only practice builds the skill, but a start has been made.
The training was useful because it gives exactly the practical skills human rights defenders, journalists and anyone who has to be in dangerous places need.
A genuinely good and useful training. The schedule and the balance of theory and practice were well planned. The instructors were excellent — they taught the material well and answered every question.
Lots of practical work, experienced instructors, a great team.
Everything was great. The instructors are doing genuinely important work.
A brilliant training. I learned a great deal that I will definitely share with colleagues. Special thanks to the trainers — they did everything possible to improve my tactical medicine skills and teach me new ones. I hope I never need them, but now I know how to act if a threat comes.
Practical, active and energising. Everyone working in frontline areas — and beyond — should take this training.
The practical drills were very useful and effective. Ideally there would be more of them, or at least more time for them, to absorb the skills better.
This was the first training I attended with such a detailed simulation of a hostile environment — exactly what was missing from other courses. The conditions the organisers create let you immerse yourself fully and carry theory into practice, so that later the work is calmer and safer.
Thoroughness of delivery, dynamic drills and realism — drones, 'explosions' — make a great combination. Over three days you get a real concentrate of knowledge and skills, which of course you then have to keep sharpening.
It was a tiring but very useful and interesting experience. I highly recommend it not only for people who work in hostile environments, but for civilians too — especially the medical part.
An exceptionally high standard of organisation and trainer expertise. I felt safe and was not afraid to fumble, because the trainers were sincerely invested in us getting it right.
I have never been through such an intensive and interesting training. Theory and practice combined well and helped lock the knowledge in.
A great training: practical information delivered clearly and systematically, with instructors who help you work through the situations journalists actually face.
This is as useful as it gets. I want more.
I structured all my knowledge and learned to apply it in practice. I now know much more about the rules for working in zones of direct threat and relative safety.
Overall I liked it a great deal. You could see how many questions colleagues had about drones, and that more training like this is needed. The drone-threat specialists were excellent — they know it all in theory and from their own experience. I would happily take this training again.
This training is essential for everyone working in border regions, and for anyone simply living in Ukraine. Clear, no filler, a lot of information and experience on how to survive in our conditions. International practice adapted to our present and to this war. Thank you.
The training is very useful because we work and live in a frontline city where there is a threat every day. It taught me how to give help properly, to myself and to others. There was also a lot of practice, which helps you absorb and lock in the skills.
